Inception activities Bangladesh (12-20 May 2019)
PEDIGREE received considerable media attention around its inception activities. Key messages in different newspapers included: “there is Bhejal (Bengali word meaning impure/adulterated) in probiotics”; “farmers are not aware of the use of quality probiotics; farmers have to be careful in using probiotics”; “there should be a policy guidelines of probiotics use in Bangladesh”; “UK-Bangladesh researchers are working to assess quality probiotics for fish farmers”; and “University of Stirling is going to train Bangladeshi people to make them experts in probiotics use risk assessment”.
